《THE GAME SHOP》—在音樂裏派對 /《THE GAME SHOP》—Partying in Music!





以Drum&Bass音樂為中心,加上Glitch Hop與House等風格的日本樂團THE GAME SHOP常於亞洲地區展開不同的巡迴演出。擅長於重音樂及電子曲風的他們,不論在日本或是亞洲的派對音樂和搖滾圈子裡也可聽聞他們的蹤跡。


THE GAME SHOP is a bass music band in Japan actively going on international wide tour in the heart of Asia. Fundamentally wrapped with style of drum and bass music with the addition of glitch hop, dub step and house music, they are dubbed the club scene and rock scene.




THE GAME SHOP於2014及2015年在台灣、香港、馬來西亞、新加坡等亞太國家進行了不同的巡迴演出、甚至於台灣的山海屯音樂節與Limp Bizkit與THE USED等知名樂隊同場演出。除了亞洲巡演,THE GAME SHOP曾在日本「a-nation」、「舞音樂祭」、「名古屋Freedom」等多不勝數的音樂節演出,更曾於自己舉辦的活動中創下多於 300人全數售罄的紀錄。


In 2014 and 2015, THE GAME SHOP toured around Asia countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore etc. They even shared the stage with Limp Bizkit and THE USED at the Heart Town Festival in Taiwan. Moreover, they performed in numerous music festivals like “a-nation” , “舞音楽祭”, “名古屋Freedom” etc. in Japan. They even got a sold-out record with more than 300 people coming over to their own event.




將派對音樂與搖滾互相交融,THE GAME SHOP希望可於這兩派的樂壇裡創下新的步伐。他們曾推出的兩張迷你專輯《Control Game》 《FUTURE GAME》除了於全日流通外,更在iTunes和Beatport等國際媒體網路商店發售。

As the music scene keeps developing and is always being unpredictable, THE GAME SHOP is interested in making new movement in the club scene and rock scene.They launched two mini albums “Control Game” and “FUTURE GAME” that can be purchased Japan-wide and from some world wide software-based online digital media store such as iTunes and Beatport. 
  





THE GAME SHOP希望可以持續擴展他們的音樂眼界,樂團主唱KIMITO與鍵盤手McD現於不同的派對場合以DJ set進行展出,更擔任不同音樂人的創作監製。

Keep broadening their musical horizon, the vocalist KIMITO and the synthesizer and manipulator McD of the band are now open for club acts in style of DJ set, track-making and even  music producers for other musicians.



不論以什麼形式發展,THE GAME SHOP也可為聽眾帶來不同的新鮮感及期待。即使Drum&Bass音樂在日本並不算流行,加上以live band型式演出的派對音樂的人更是少之有少,但他們正在努力推廣這類型的音樂,而他們的谮力確實可讓他們的音樂不只在日本,更可在世界各地興起。 

Even though Drum and Bass music is still not really popular and familiar and there even not many club music bands in the Japanese Music scene ,THE GAME SHOP still striving to develop and promote more on this genre of music and they do have a big potential to be more successful not only in Japan but also in other foreign countries.

HIP BEAN SPROUT—熱血沸騰的搖滾靈魂! / HIP BEAN SPROUT—The Burning Soul of Pop Rock Music in Japan!




由2012年成立,活躍於日本東京的流行搖滾樂團Hip Bean Sprout成員包括主音兼結他手森智仁、和音兼結他手長谷川慶、低音結他手宮崎拓実及鼓手江原千大四人組成。由於成員分別岀身於東京都及琦玉縣,所以樂隊一直被稱為東京與琦玉的「混血兒」。

If you are keeping track on the Japanese rock band scene, Hip Bean Sprout should be one that could catch your eyes! Actively touring around Tokyo, Hip Bean Sprout was formed in 2012 with the current members Tomohito Mori on vocal and guitar, Kei Hasegawa on chorus and guitar, Takumi Miyazaki on bass and Yukihiro Ehara on drums. As members are either from Tokyo or Saitama, they are often dubbed a “hybrid” of Tokyo and Saitama.



一聽難忘的High Tone Voice


日本的搖滾音樂一向別樹一格,帶有強烈的本土特色,所以衍生岀我的常聽到的「日系搖滾(J-ROCK)」的音樂風格,而Hip Bean Sprout不僅帶有一貫J-ROCK節奏明快的特色、主音森智仁的聲調較一般的男性主音高,這一聽難忘的嗓音更為樂隊帶來流滿個性及獨特性的風格。


The rock music in Japan, with its distinctive feature, always carries strong local characteristics and that breeds the music “J-rock” style that we can now often come across. Not only Hip Bean Sprout has the J-rock trait of briskness and lively rhythm, but also the unique high-tone voice of the vocalist Tomohito Mori makes their music so surpassing and hypnotizing.

繼2014年推出的「discover world」及「PERFECT GIRL」後、Hip Bean Spout剛於3月28日推出第三張迷你專輯「LiFE」,貫徹樂隊調皮開朗樂觀的風格,「LiFE」收錄的樂曲除了表達「生活是美好的」的信息外、更告訴了我們面對自己喜歡的事物要率直的說喜歡,即使人生有很多離別或痛苦的事情,因為只要相信人生是美好的,你便會找到那份美好,而他們的音樂也會常伴著你。


After launching two mini albums “discover world“ and “PERFECT GIRL” in 2014, Hip Bean Sprout just released their third mini album “LiFE” and lounged a cd released show on 28th March this year. With their mischievous and vigorous style, “LiFE” not only spreads a message that life is beautiful, it also tells us that we should truly express what we truly love in our heart. Even though life must not always be easy and smooth, if we continue to believe in life, we can then discover the beauty in it, and what is more, their music would always be your companion.

來自日本及成軍四年的Survive Said The Prophet(SSTP)在去年推出〈Meiam〉及〈Cocoon〉兩張單曲後,於本年2015年4月15日推岀首張全日本流通的專輯《Course Of Action》。除了收錄全新作品〈Subtraction〉、〈Escape〉及〈Ashes,Ashes〉外,更重新錄製〈Awake You Ask Kinda Awkwardly 〉及〈Innocence In The Name Of Love〉兩首過往的作品。

After the release of two singles Meiam and Cocoon in 2014, Survive Said The Prophet, which was formed four years ago in Japan, finally released their first album Course Of Action that can be purchased Japan-wide. Apart from the new songs Subtraction, Escape and Ashes, Ashes, they also re-recorded their previous songs Awake You Ask Kinda Awkwardly and Innocence In The Name Of Love.

以Loud Rock、Hardcore的風格為基本,加上Screamo、Emo、甚至Pop等不同風格,從序曲〈Course of action〉中不斷循環的琴音中加上不同樂器,無論是講述愛情的〈Awake You Ask Kinda Awkwardly〉及〈Innocence In The Name Of Love〉,還是,啟發性及旋律豐富的〈Subtraction〉、情感及節奏感強烈的〈Escape〉和自我反省、帶著哀愁感的〈Mirror〉,到最後充滿空間及自由感的〈Ashes,Ashes〉,就如專輯名字「Course Of Action」一樣,彷彿把他們的可能性擴展至無限遠。

Fundamentally wrapped with styles of Loud Rock and Hardcore with the addition of Screamo, Emo and even Pop music, from the looping profound keyboard sound in the intro song Course of action, the love songs Awake You Ask Kinda Awkwardly and Innocence In The Name Of Love, inspiring  and melodious Subtraction, passionate and rhythmical Escape, sentimental and self-reflecting Mirror, to the untrammelled and spacious Ashes,Ashes, just like the title 'Course Of Acton', this album works as if it extends their possibilities to the infinity. 

此外,《Course Of Action》專輯封面只是以一個小的灰色圓形為中心,原意為代表「Course Of Action」的無限可能性,設計雖然簡單,但卻確確實實表達到每人自身也擁有無限潛能的意念。

Moreover, the cover of the album includes only a mini grey circle on a write space which is intended to represent the all and infinity of course of action. Despite the simplicity of the design, it really close-fits the idea of the endless possibilities of oneself's action. 


SSTP一向以現場演出的感染力及力量著稱,《Course Of Action》的發表巡迴演出已在日本展開,而6月13日更於香港蒲吧進行香港站的演出,樂迷萬物錯過!

去年2014年的日本人氣搖滾樂團ONE OK ROCKOOR)的活動不再只規限於亞洲地區,更活躍於海外十五多個國家。除了於海外完成二十多場的演出,更在美國巡演其間制作了全新專輯《35xxxv》。雖然到海外發展的決定引起很多正面及負面評價,但去年確實是對組成十多年的他們一個重大的轉捩點。 
ONE OK ROCK(OOR), a renowned Japanese Rock band based in Tokyo whose were no longer confined in just Asia but also stepped their feet into fifteen different countries overseas since 2014. After completing twenty live shows abroad, they produced a new album 35xxxv during their tour in America. Having got so much positive and negative comment for their decision to expand into foreign countries, last year was certainly the most significant turnaround for OOR since their formation over ten years ago.




久違兩年,OOR於本年211日推出第七張大碟《35xxxv》。比起2013年的《人生×=》曲風變化更大,加入許多後製音效,很多人也認為他們的歌曲已完全走向歐美曲風。雖然這張專輯的班底全是海外製作人,但OOR卻不認為這全是他們曲風突變的原因,結他手Toru曾於訪問說:「美國的錄音室的環境及空氣都跟日本很不同,甚至像花園一樣,有地方讓你慢慢休息、打乒乓球。將音樂融入了那邊的生活,在這情況下錄音實在很棒,雖然以往在日本的對我們來說也是很好的經驗,但在日本卻不能在這樣的環境錄音,亦是很好的新嘗試。我認為身處的環境亦有很大的影響,讓我們的音樂産生了這樣的變化。」「由去年開始到不同的地方表演,遇到不同的音樂人,每人對樂曲的處理、錄音過程及歌曲的編排結構等都不一樣。看到這些,我在想我們是不是也可到別的方向?我們在日本追求的是不是也不只可在日本找得到?在走入錄音室的瞬間我明白了,製作自己認為好的音樂,捨棄不重要的簡單地重視自己眼前重要的事情。」
Two years after their last album, they released their new album 35xxxv  in 2015, putting in a lot of post-production sound effect . It even became more Americanized  than their last album 人生×=, many say that they are currently shaking off their old J-Rock style and completely changing themselves to an American Rock style. Though this album is all produced by overseas producers, OOR did not think that is the main reason for their change. “ The studios in American were just like a garden or even a park and they got room for you to take a good rest or play ping-pong. I think it was great to record our songs in such a condition that music is completely well mixed with life there. Without doubt the time we had recorded our songs in Japan was also a great experience for us but we tried something we could never do in Japan and it was a good try for us.The place we were and the condition around really play a key role to our songs and lead to our present changes.” guitarist Toru said in an interview. "We have been performing around in different places and we have got chances to meet different musicians. Everyone differs in  method and path for recording , mixing, coordinating and structuring songs. After I saw all these, all came in my mind was are we also able to head to a different direction in our music? Did all what we were seeking in Japan were not only to be found in Japan? By the time I stepped my feet in the recording studio, I suddenly realized that all we can do now is to abandon all the unnecessary thoughts and do what we think is good in music.”




OOR聽到這張專輯也感到曲風很不像以往的他們,主唱Taka亦曾說曾對此感到不安,畢竟預測不到樂迷聽到會有什麼感受,「正因為有一種這不是ONE OK ROCK的音樂,我們才需要做這種音樂。」「我想這張專輯必會令我們産生一些變化,但我還是覺得這張碟是做對了的。」
OOR got a feeling about the very different style and characteristic in their previous songs. The vocalist Taka had indicated in an interview that he felt angst about this. After all he could not predict what their fans would feel after they had listened them. "Just because we feel that this doesn't sound like ONE OK ROCK so it is a must for us to do this different kind of music. " once said by vocalist Taka, “ This album would change us some but I still think we have done right in making this album.”



35xxxv》推出後確實引起很大的迴響,比以往更可明顯聽出美式Punk RockAlternative Rock 對他們的影響。雖然專輯整體一致性很高,但相對於以往的專輯卻較難令人留下深印象。OOR2014年推出的單曲《Mighty Long Fall/Decision》中已透露了他們的曲風將有所改變,〈Stuck in the middle〉雖然跟他們以往的風格較像,但跟專輯的其他快歌〈Suddenly〉、〈Mighty Long Fall〉、〈Cry Out〉等一樣,節奏感分明的樂歌加入了比以往更多雜亂卻調和的電音及機械人聲特效等後製,而相信令聽眾最難以接受的一首是找來美國樂隊Sleeping with Sirens的主唱Kellin合唱的〈Paper Planes〉,〈Paper Planes〉可說是完全脫離OOR深入民心的J-Rock風格,大量的電子原素及特效人聲確實遮蓋主音歌聲的魅力,輕快的歐美主流風格,完全跳出以往OOR影子的一首。再沒有以往乾脆利落的聲音,有樂迷認為加入愈多這種聲效便會愈失真,愈掩蓋他們本身的魅力,但不可否認的他們正很努力作新嘗試,而這種新嘗試還帶着很多未知數,亦像他們所說一樣,這張專輯確實為他們及這個圈子中帶來了一些改變。
35xxxv  aroused lots of echoes after its release from which we can clearly listen the influence that American Punk Rock and Alternative Rock bring to OOR. This album as a whole got a good consistency but compared with the previous ones, we can say that it is less impressive. They had already foreshadowed there would be a change of their style in their release of the single Mighty Long Fall/Decision last year. The song Stuck in the middle was said to be resembling the old style of OOR but alike other rhythmical tracks like Suddenly, Mighty Long Fall and Cry Out,  they added more chaotic but coordinated electronic elements and robotic style of altered vocals. The most unreceptive song in this album was believed to be Paper Planes which is featuring with vocalist Kellin from an American band Sleeping with Sirens, completely having reversed their familiar image of a Japanese Rock band with electronic sounds and full of distorted vocals which was said to completely shadow the charisma of Taka’s voice. Some say they differ from their simple squeaky clean sounds they had and the over-polish of their sound would kill their original taste that fascinates the audience like they had before, but we could not deny that they are trying their best pursuing something new. This trail still contains many uncertainties and as what they said, this really brings some changes not only for them but also even in this scene.

「REDLINE」計劃由2010年發起,每年也像紅線般集結日本音樂圈岀眾的搖滾樂團。本年度的「REDLINE」找來現在活躍於日本地下樂隊圈子的CRYSTAL LAKE、NOISEMAKER、Survive Said The Prophet及wrong city於12月10日推出合輯《REDLINE RIOT!!》,並於2015年1月於日本不同地區舉行名為「REDLINE RIOT TOUR 2015」的巡演。


CRYSTAL LAKE


專輯收錄CRYSTAL LAKE全新作品<Matrix>及<Light Up The Tunnel>兩首全新作品。CRYSTAL LAKE一直深受90年代的重型音樂影響,組成十年多的他們在日本的重型音樂圈子裏一直具有舉足輕重的影響力。在四隊樂隊中CRYSTAL LAKE可算是最重型的一隊,<Martix>較<Light Up The Tunnel>節奏強烈,亦加入了DJENT的元素。兩曲亦貫有他們一向的風格;以歌曲向聽眾表達他們的世界觀,並以重型樂曲及憤怒蠻橫的歌詞沖擊世界。


NOISEMAKER


岀身自日本北海道的NOISEMAKER組成時已帶有不希望只被分類成某種音樂類型的想法,所以「NOISEMAKER」的名字帶有創造新風格的意思。專輯收錄了NOISEMAKER<Oblivion>及<Horizon>兩首全新歌曲;<Oblivion>帶有掙扎求存的感覺,而<Horizon>像帶給人光明及昐望。NOISEMAKER的旋律融合饒舌的元素,注重歌聲的存在感,加上穩重的節奏及副疾走感覺的旋律,這自由性確實不限於搖滾或PUNK等這些風格。


Survive Said The Prophet 


2011年成立的Survive Said The Prophet(SSTP)主要活躍於日本東京,歌曲混合了EMO、SCREAMO、HARDCORE等各種不同類型的曲風。專輯收錄了SSTP在本年度6月推出〈Cocoon〉單曲中的〈If You Really Want To>及全新歌曲<I Guess I Won't Tell>;〈If You Really Want To>帶着激昂的志氣而<I Guess I Won't Tell>中卻可聽到SSTP柔情的一面。雖然大多被歸類作EMO或是SCREAMO,但志於不斷擴闊音樂的界限他們令聽眾每次也獲得不同新鮮感,可說是不被風格捆綁的樂隊。



wrong city


2012年結成的wrong city風格結合了PUNK、SCREAMO、重型金屬、搖滾等風格。專輯收錄了wrong city第一張單曲中的<My Shape>及全新歌曲<Perfect Duty>;<My Shape>給聽眾光明樂觀的感覺而<Perfect Duty>卻帶有控訴的感覺。組成只有短短兩年的他們現已獲得如此不錯的成績,的確是在地下樂隊圈子裏備受注目的一團。




《REDLINE RIOT!!》中四隊樂隊的兩曲中也可看到他們有趣而又不同的兩面,相似卻相異的他們會在日本地下音樂圈子掀起一場什麼風暴,確實指日可待。

“REDLINE” is a project which originate in 2010, massing up outstanding rock bands in the music scene in Japan. This year in 2014, “REDLINE” called on four bands that actively performed in the indie scene including CRYSTAL LAKE、NOISEMAKER、Survive Said The Prophet and wrong city. They released a spilt album called REDLINE RIOT!! in 10th December and will be holding a tour named “REDLINE RIOT TOUR 2015” in January 2015.


CRYSTAL LAKE


This album included two new songs of CRYSTAL LAKE—Matrix and Light Up The Tunnel. Fitted with a heavy metal hardcore taste, the band has played a decisive role in the Japan metal hardcore indie scene in these 12 years after its formation. It is said that CRYSTAL LAKE got the heaviest sound among all four bands. Matrix has a faster or heavier rhythm than Light Up The Tunnel and we are also able to hear a style of djent yet two songs composed of their original characters that they express their views through songs and smacking the world through heaviest melody and fierce and reckless lyrics.


NOISEMAKER



NOISEMAKE comes from Hokkaido in Japan and they were unwilling to be categorized under any special genre of music thus there is a meaning of creating a new style of music in their name. This album included two new songs of NOISEMAKER; Oblivion gives a feeling of struggling free while Horizon gives hope in the future. Emphasizing the existence of the vocal, NOISEMAKER combines the element of rap music in their melody. Having a steady rhythm and a scampering melody, this free style of music makes them not confining to just the genre of rock or punk.




Survive Said The Prophet



Survive Said The Prophet(SSTP) were formed in 2011 which based in the heart of Tokyo. SSTP emits a heavy yet melodious sound with modern hardcore taste mixed into their music that brings a different kind of emotional energy. This album included songs If You Really Want To in their single Cocoon which was released in June this year and a new song I Guess I Won't Tell. We can feel their passion in If You Really Want To and see the trender side of SSTP in I Guess I Won't Tell.
 Although they often claimed to be categorized under the genre of emo or screamo, their interest in broadening their musical horizon keeps the audience on edge as they surprise the listeners with new perspective of the band in each release.


wrong city


Formed in 2012, wrong city integrates styles of punk, screamo, hardcore, metal and rock in their music. This album includes My Shape in their first single and a new song called Perfect Duty. My Shape gives a bright feeling to audience while Perfect Duty gives a sensation of denouncing. Despite the band has been formed for only two years, they already earned a really good reputation in the indie scene in Japan.


We can see the interesting but two different sides of the previous bands through the songs in REDLINE RIOT!!. It is so exciting to see what kind of riots that these bands would arouse in the music scene in the future.

日本搖滾樂隊FLOWER FLOWER由主唱及結他手yui、低音結他手mafumafu、鼓手sacchan及鍵盤手mura☆jun於2013年組成。yui對音樂的純粹與自然,及抱著希望透過音樂自由地表達自己的想法組團,而且相比其他帥氣的名字,她更希望能起一個讓人感到活力又副有想像力的名字,這便是「FLOWER FLOWER」的由來。

FLOWER FLOWER is a Japanese rock band formed in 2013 by yui on vocal and guitar, mafumafu on bass, sacchan on drums and mura☆jun on keyboard. With the purity and natural  yui has towards music and the will to express her feeling freely to the audience, she came up with the name "FLOWER FLOWER". Except choosing a cool name for the band, she hoped to have a name which combine energy and imagination.

原為日本人氣創作女歌手的yui於2012年宣佈暫別樂壇後、與團員在2013年於日本多個場所舉行秘密LIVE,5月4日於東京舉行的「Japan Jam」首次公開以FLOWER FLOWER主唱的姿態演出。yui曾在暫停歌手身分後在官方網站透過找到新挑戰,以後的工作模式亦會改變。其實yui早在看過團員的現場演出後便有找他們合作的想法、當三人收到yui的邀請後亦十分愕然,雖然三人是yui十分尊敬的樂手,畢竟由2005年岀道至今的她在日本歌壇的地位可說是數一數二。擺脫過往清新少女形象,剪了一頭金色短髮的yui曾在訪問說過她不知道這樂隊可維持多久,但有些音樂如不決心捨棄生命中的一些東西,是不可能創作岀來的,FLOWER FLOWER的組成對她很重要,所以也很想為這樂隊決心賭上什麼。而四人對音樂的純粹,就成了風格豐富多樣的FLOWER FLOWER。

After yui announced to suspend the identity of a singer song writer in 2012, she fronted to form this band and held a lot of secret live around Japan in March and performed in "Japan Jam" which was held in Tokyo at the first time publicly as the vocalist of FLOWER FLOWER. yui wrote in her official website after her suspension in 2012 that she found a new challenge in her music life and her mode of working will be changed in the future. The truth is yui had come up with the idea with cooperating with the members of FLOWER FLOWER after watched their live performances long time ago. Members were so shocked by the time they received the invitation by yui as she really played a decisive role in the music scene since her debut in 2005 even they are all musicians that yui respects so much. Shaken off the fresh and clean character before, yui cut her hair short and dyed it gold. " I don't know how long this band could last but there's some music that you couldn't  create if you don't have the determination to lose something important in your life. This band is so important to me that I want to bet something that means to me on FLOWER FLOWER. " said by yui in some interviews.The members' purity towards music turn their music rich and colorful.

2014年初yui因被診斷患上恐慌症,所以FLOWER FLOWER的活動暫時終止,但幸好病情很快好轉,原予定在yui的生日3月26推出的第一張專輯《実》延期到11月26日推出。


In early 2014, yui was suffered form panic decease and the FLOWER FLOWER was suspended for a while. Luckily yui recovered in a short period of time but the release of their first album 実(Mi) was postponed from 26th March , which is the birthday of yui, to 26th November.




專輯的歌曲大部分也是四人一起創作,在風格主題什麼也沒有決定好的情況下便作成,sacchan曾於訪問說:「現在想起也不知道那時候為什麼會寫出這樣的歌,這好像有種一期一會的感覺,但創作專輯時卻沒緊張的感覺。」mura☆jun也說過:「這好像破壞了我原本在腦中的概念,但專輯卻在一個安定自由的節奏完成了。」《実》的風格雖屬搖滾,但歌曲給人的感覺得卻很跳躍,像<素晴らしい世界>給人光明的感覺,但<席を立つ>卻給人一種詭異及帶點哀怨的感覺,yui對於專輯的風格曾表示:「曲中確實帶著『破壞』的感情,這也是我們想傳達的,我也不知道會被說是什麼風格,但至少希望可帶給聽眾某些衝擊。」自然而然的為音樂帶來各種可能性,這亦是FLOWER FLOWER的美學之一。


Most of the songs were made by four of them together in the music studio without coming up any decisions about the theme and style of the album. " I even can't remember why I made those songs at that time. Although it gave me a feeling of once-in-a-life encounter, I didn't stress when we made the songs." Once said by sacchan in interviews. " This might be different from what I was expected to have in the album but this album was completed in a quiet and free rhythm. " said by mura☆jun. 実(Mi) was categorized under the genre of rock but the feeling that it gives to the audience diverges. For instance 素晴らしい世界(subarashii sekai) gives a bright and sunny feeling yet 席を立つ(sekiotatsu) gives a weird and gloomy feeling." The songs were combined with the feeling of destroying which is also what we wanted to express. I don't know what people will say about the style of this album but at least I hope to astonish our listeners." said by yui when talking about the style of this album.





「実」的漢字有果實及真實兩個意思,而專輯的歌曲包含了許多的主題;講述人對神的反思的<神様>、想破壞規律的<空気>、對世界憧憬希望的<素晴らしい世界>、想守護所愛的<ひかり>、決意追尋未知世界的<月>、對自己人生反思的<スタートライン>等等。包含著各種各樣,簡單又複雜的情緒,確實像人一樣真實,而這種真實卻令人可在生活中綻放。



The word "実" combines the meaning of "fruit" and "reality" thus the songs in this album contains a lot of themes that 神様(Kamisama) talks about the reflection between humans and the God, 空気(Kuuki) talks about the will to destroy the rules, ひかり(hikari) talks about the will to protect what we love, スタートライン(start line) talks about the reflection we have towards our life e.t.c. combines with lots of feeling and meanings which is simple but complicated at the same time. This contradiction resembles human which make our lives real and colorful.

繼2012年推岀的單曲《The Fire Inside/ Overcome》,CRYSTAL LAKE於2014年8月推岀了新專輯≪CUBES≫。他們在不同的訪問中也表示這是他們非常滿意的一張作品,結他手Yudai曾說:「無論是以往還時現在,我們都只想將想法及所喜歡的毫無修飾、率直地表達出來。」也許因有著這樣的想法,亦加上新主唱的加入,從新岀發的他們除了貫有他們以往風格,亦可聽到以往不同的原素。新主唱加入後的第一張專輯,成員也希望作一些新嘗試,≪CUBES≫的歌曲除可聽到節奏強烈的重型金屬外,還有DJENT、EMO等風格。專輯中收錄了他們翻唱Limp Bizkit的歌曲<ROLLIN'>, 風格跟原曲拆然不同亦廣受好評,是不注重原曲細節,帶着他們自身風格的版本。


在專輯的概念上,CRYSTAL LAKE亦希望可表現出不同的世界觀。歌詞簡單直接,對團員來說專輯的首六首曲的歌代表了他們對自身及世界不同的看法,也因正立方體剛好有六面,而第七首曲,即最後一首歌曲<CUBES>寫著「Passion Energy Vitality Intensity Brave Hope We are anything We are anything We are the cubes」,把首六歌中不同想法連繋起來,這亦是專輯以≪CUBES≫命名的原因,≪CUBES≫對他們來說便是把自己跟世界中的種種不同連起來的媒介。

In August 2004 , CRYSTAL LAKE released a new EP CUBES which they said in many interviews that they were really satisfied with the production this time. " We just aim to express our thoughts and what we love directly to the audiences, no matter the past or now. " said by the guitarist Yudai. Contributing to this thought and the joining of the new vocalist, the songs with their new line up not only composed of their original taste but also some new elements. Apart from the metal hardcore style they always had, we are also able to hear EMO and DJENT in this album. They also covered the song Rollin' by Limp Bizkit this time which is a complete different version from the original one. It received a lot of positive comments towards this cover version that they did not care much of the details from the original version but they played one strongly with their own style.


Concerning the concept of this album, with the simple and straightforward lyrics, the members hope to express both the feelings towards both themselves and the world. It was said that the first six songs of the album represent six different ideas they had. As a cube has just exactly six face, the lyrics 'Passion Energy Vitality Intensity Brave We are anything We are anything We are the cubes' was written in the last song CUBES to link up all their idea in the first six songs. This is also why this album is titled with ' CUBES' and resembles a medium to link the members and all the similarity and dissimilarity in this world together.

2003於東京年組成,2007年正式改名為Her Name In Blood的日本金屬樂隊成員包括主音Ikepy、結他手Daiki、結他手TJ、低音結他手Makoto及鼓手Umebo。以美國樂隊Strung Out的歌曲而命名的Her Name In Blood現為日本最受歡迎的年輕重金屬樂隊之一,隨著日本金屬樂隊的興起,他們在日本的樂隊圈子裏可說是無人不曉。

正式成軍一年後,2008年Her Name On Blood與同為日本樂隊的Before My Live Fails推出合輯,並於同年11月參與美國樂隊As I Lay Dying及Story Of Year名為「Taste Of Chaos」的巡演,更於2009年參與日本一年一度的大型音樂節「Pump Us The Volume」及積極地於日本不同地區巡迴演出。Her Name In Blood於2010年推岀首支單曲《CONFUSION》及專輯《DECADENCE》,相比很多樂隊他們推出個人專輯所花的時間較長,但這張專輯確實令他們在日本重型金屬領域更受矚目,獲得更多與國際知名樂隊同場演出及參與更多大型音樂節的機會。雖然樂隊正式成形只有兩三年間,但他們的實力已足以讓他們登上不同的大舞台。  


     













2012年與日本人氣天團Crossfaith於日本及東南亞地區巡演後,2013年Her Name In Blood推出專輯《THE BEAST》,雖然久違三年才推出新碟,但人氣不減地《THE BEAST》於日本各地的發佈巡演都全場售罄。除了主場日本,他們於2014年頭也到香港的Hidden Agenda進行專場表演及到台灣與大陸不同地區巡演及參與不同的音樂節。2014年4月23日他們推出了同名大碟,現在亦活躍於日本不同地區。



 9月26日 HER NAME IN BLOOD RETURN OF THE BEAST TOUR FINAL 東京專場演出 





Her Name In Blood剛完成了「RETURN OF THE BEAST TOUR FINAL SERIES」大阪、名古屋及涉谷的專場演出。日本的樂隊數量十分龐大,理所當然樂隊之間競爭相比香港亦大很多,於日本舉行專場演岀並不容易,也許是為了確保觀眾的人數,很多日本樂隊策劃演出時亦會找來約四、五隊友好的樂隊一同演出,每隊樂隊演出約三十至四十分鐘,加起來一場演岀為時約三、四小時。Her Name In Blood於涉谷TSUTAYA O-WEST舉行約個半小時的大型專場演出,會場更差不多爆滿,真是絕不簡單。

































演出由大碟的歌曲<Zero>及收錄於《THE BEAST》的<Gasolines>打開序幕,他們每首歌曲也屬於重金屬搖滾,令觀眾在九十分鐘內也保持著十分高漲的情緒。日本的觀眾確實較香港熱情,由第一首歌曲開始已有約三分之二觀眾在mosh pit及circle pit,而音樂break down時的wall of death更是差不多全場觀眾也動起來,這樣的情景在日本很常見,但在香港可謂少之有少。































在純樂器演奏部份,先由結他帶入、再到低音結他及鼓,再由結他淡岀,取而代之帶來一小段低音結他與鼓的獨奏,期後引入鼓手的solo部分,最後輪流加入低音結他及結他將凝聚力推至頂點,完成整個純樂器演奏部份。鼓手的技術當然是十分厲害,但這樣的編排對於大多的演唱會來說是很特別,可見他們在此部份確實花了點心思。  



































還有很值得提及的是這埸演岀的終曲<Poker Face>。雖然以翻唱Lady Gaga的名曲作結,但相同的歌曲卻帶岀完全不一的感覺;他們這首重型版的<Poker Face>早已在網上瘋傳,更因該版本籠絡了不少外國樂迷,而Her Name In Blood更派發為這場演出特地印製的<Poker Face>單曲限量版予樂迷。

Her Name In Blood- The Front Line Metal core Band from Japan 





Formed in 2003 and officially altered its name into Her Name In Blood (HNIB) in 2007, its members include Ikepy on vocal, Daiki and TJ on guitar, Makoto on bass and Umebo on drums. The name of the band comes from a song called “Her Name In Blood” by an American band called Strung Out. With the growing of the metal core scene in Japan, HNIB is a well-known band that everyone is familiar with in the scene now.  
















In 2008, one year after the formation of HNIB, they released a split EP with a Japanese band called Before My Life Fails and attended a tour called “Taste Of Chaos” fronted by As I Lay Dying and Story Of Year from America. In the following year, they even attended “Pump Us The Volume” which is a big scale music festival held in Japan once a year. Their first single CONFUSION and first album DECADENCE  were released in 2010. Although they were said to be a bit late for those releases compared with some local bands in Japan, the album DECADENCE succeeded in drawing more attention to the scene. They have gained more chances to perform with different famous international bands like A Day To Remember and The Ghost Inside from America and participate in more large-scaled music festivals in Japan. Despite the band has only been formed for only two to three years, the strength they had was already enough to hit different big stages.  



     












They toured with Crossfaith from Japan in Southeast Asia in 2012 and released an EP called THE BEAST in 2013. Although it had already been three years since the release of their first album, their popularity never declined that the release tour of THE BEAST in Japan was all sold out completely. Apart from touring in Japan, they also did a tour in China and they even came to Hong Kong and performed a one man show in Hidden Agenda in 2014. They released a self-titled full album HER NAME IN BLOOD this year and now continuing with their tour in different areas in Japan.




9/26  HER NAME IN BLOOD RETURN OF THE BEAST TOUR FINAL TOKYO ONE MAN LIVE 





HNIB just completed their “RETURN OF THE BEAST TOUR FINAL SERIES” one man live which took place in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. There are numerous bands in Japan that incite a much acuter competition among themselves than those in Hong Kong. It is not easy to hold a one man show in Japan, and many bands would invite their friends to perform together in the same show when they want to hold, let’s say, a single release party. This might be of a method to secure the number of audience if they hold the show in this way. Normally one band would perform about thirty to forty minutes so that the whole live would take about three to four hours. In short, it has been a great success for HNIB to hold such a large-scaled one man live in Shibuya TSUTAYA O-WEST with the extent of number of audience. 































The show was kicked off by the song “Zero” in their full album HER NAME IN BLOOD and “Gasolines” in their EP THE BEAST. Metal hardcore songs were played for around 90 minutes that kept the audience in an excited emotion at the very beginning and till the end of the show. Obviously, the audiences in Japan are so more enthusiastic than those in Hong Kong. The audience started the mosh and circle pit in the first song and almost everyone participated in the wall of death during the break down of songs. The audience participation is of striking importance in a metal hardcore show and this scene was said to be ordinary in Japan but it is really rare to be seen in Hong Kong.




























When it comes to the instrumental solo, it was brought in by the guitar first and then adding the bass and drums like what we normally see in a live band concert. But then there is a fade out of guitars and a short solo part of the bass and drums. The drum solo is then brought out by the fade out of bass and the bass and guitar are then added to the performance again after the drum solo to complete the instrumental part of the show. This is quite special that we could see the band really invested effort in thinking about this part of the performance. 





































There is also something worth mentioning about that the song “Poker Face” that they played at the very end of the show. Although this is not their own-produced song but a cover from Lady Gaga, this metal core version of “Poker Face” could bring a completely different feeling to listeners from the original version. This cover version also helped them to gain more fans from different parts of the world. Audiences took part in the live that night could also receive a limited version of this single.
